Impartiality Policy

InterGlobal Certification Services Pvt. Ltd. (IGC) recognizes that impartiality is essential in the performance of its certification activities. IGC is committed to conducting its business with integrity, independence, and objectivity to maintain the confidence of its clients, regulatory bodies, and the public.

IGC shall act impartially in all certification activities and take responsibility for managing conflicts of interest that may affect impartiality. The organization shall ensure that all certification decisions are based solely on objective evidence of conformity, independent of any external influence or commercial, financial, or other pressures.

To achieve this commitment, IGC shall:

  • Establish, implement, and maintain processes for identifying, analyzing, evaluating, treating, monitoring, and documenting risks to impartiality.
  • Ensure that all personnel, committees, auditors, and contractors act impartially and sign declarations of conflict of interest.
  • Prevent any involvement in activities that could compromise impartiality, such as consultancy or training related to clients' management systems.
  • Ensure that certification decisions are made by competent personnel who are independent of the audit process.
  • Avoid any undue influence from commercial, financial, or other interests that could compromise impartiality.
  • Maintain organizational structure and policies to protect impartiality, including separation between audit and decision functions.
  • Empower the Impartiality Committee to review, advise, and oversee the implementation of impartiality safeguards.
  • Ensure transparency and fairness in all certification activities, maintaining open communication with stakeholders regarding impartiality controls.
  • Review this policy during management reviews and update it whenever necessary to ensure continued compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1 requirements.
